BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Directors comprises well respected individuals who supervise the fund manager's compliance with relevant laws and regulations, financial transparency as well as the timely disclosure of material information. The Board also commits themselves to maintaining the highest standards of corporate integrity and ethics.
Distinguished members of the Board of Directors are:
Mr. Piramal is 55 years old and an eminent business personality in the global corporate world. His educational qualifications are B.Sc. (Hons.) from Bombay University, Master in Management Studies from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and Advanced Management Programme, Havard.
Mr. Piramal is the Chairman of Piramal Enterprises Limited and heading an multibillion dollar industrial group, having diversified interests in pharmaceuticals, glass containers, financial services and real estate development. Within the group the leading companies are Piramal Healthcare Ltd, Piramal Life Sciences Ltd, Allergan India Ltd, Piramal Glass Ltd etc.
Mr. Vallabh Bhanshali is a leading investment banker, venture capitalist and investor of India. He is the co-founder and Chairman of Enam – a reputed financial services group. Mr. Bhanshali is a rank-holding Chartered Accountant.
Mr. Bhanshali’s professional association is across a large number of organizations & chambers of Commerce including SEBI, Bombay Stock Exchange, Investor Grievances Forum, etc. He has been serving on various Committees of these bodies. He is a Trustee of the BSE.
Mr. S. P. Ahuja combines in him rich experience of academics, public administration, business and industry. Mr. Ahuja is M.A. (Economics) from St. Stephens College, University of Delhi and has been British Council Scholar at London School of Economic and University of York, U.K.
As a Member of the Indian Economic Services (IES), Mr. Ahuja has served the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance. Mr. Ahuja has the capabilities of providing management guidance for large and complex projects involving high level inter personal coordination and has assisted international organizations including the UNICEF, World Bank, WHO, UNDP, USAID, DFID and others. He is also Honorary President, Centre for Research, Planning and Action, an NGO accredited to UNECOSOC and recognized as Centre of Excellence for HRD by UNESCAP, and as an R&D institution by DSIR, GOI.
Currently, Mr. Ahuja is Managing Director, Institute of Economic and Market Research (Pvt.) Ltd. IEMR is engaged in providing consulting services to large public and private sector organizations, including market research, customer satisfaction and allied services.
Mr. Niraj Bhukhanwala is a MBA from INSEAD, France. He has done his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from The Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai and also done his Master in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
He is the Managing Director of Bhukhanwala Holdings, a boutique investment company, with Rs 500 crore of assets under management. His investment focus is in the financial services, retail and hospitality, media and specialised manufacturing domains. Prior to this he was with Intel Capital in India and before that at Mckinsey & Company in London He also serves on the board of Maya Entertainment Limited, Tod’s India, Woodstock Ambience and Newkut Industries.
Ramesh Jogani is one of the pioneers in the real estate fund space with a realized track record of successful exits and a history of firsts in the Indian marketplace. Under his leadership, the platform has grown from its first domestic fund raise in 2006 to one that spans four funds (both domestic and offshore) as well as one third party (listed) mandate totaling INR 37b.
Ramesh is a developer by training and has been engaged in the development of over 2.5m sq ft across Mumbai and Pune in his personal capacity prior to joining and growing INDIAREIT since inception. His understanding of the various nuances of the real estate domain and an inherent ability to identify and manage lucrative investment opportunities as well as build sustainable relationships with development partners has been instrumental in INDIAREIT's success. As a testament to this broad based value addition, INDIAREIT is also the first fund to have successfully round tripped earlier investments, had no partner litigations or credit default across its entire portfolio and delivered consistent valuations year on year despite the recent market downturn.
Ramesh is also a Member, National Committee on Real Estate & Housing - Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and has been a representative and active speaker at various national and global industry panels and seminars.
